The Korean fir, Abies koreana, is a compact, slow-growing conifer with a pyramidal form and masses of closely packed, dark green needles with a silver sheen to the underside. It's ideal for growing as a focal piece in a large garden, or at the centre of a border, surrounded by low-growing plants.
Grow Abies koreana in a large border with other slow-growing conifers, such as cypress and thuja, or contrast with rounded deciduous shrubs.
