Japanese anemones give borders a welcome boost in late summer and early autumn. Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert' is a particularly choice variety, bearing white, single flowers, tinged with pink on the underside of the petals. It's perfect for brighting up a shady corner in a large container, and also makes a pretty autumn focal point in the herbaceous border.
For best results grow Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert' in moist but well-drained soil in partial shade. To propagate, divide clumps in early spring or autumn. Mulch each year with organic matter such as well-rotted manure.
