Blight resistant Solanum tuberosum 'Desiree' bears red-skinned potatoes with a firm waxy flesh. The tubers are particularly suitable for baking. Plants show some resistance to drought and scab.
For best results grow Solanum tuberosum 'Desiree' in moist but well-drained soil in sun to partial shade. Water plants thoroughly two weeks before harvesting.
